Began teaching in primary schools in 1987 after gaining my Diploma of Teaching (Primary) at the Institute of Catholic Education. Since then have taught at all levels including post grad. Also a trained critical care nurse and have taught in Intensive Care Units and Critical Care areas for many years. I spent 18 months working with the Deakin-Southern Health Nursing Research Centre as a Research Fellow/Education Consultant and 12 months as a Research Fellow with Monash Health Emergency Research Team. Have guest lectured at Monash University whilst teaching clinically in ICU and am now ‘teaching lecturers how to teach’, which I love. I am currently the Senior Educational Designer in the Faculty of Law at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Educational design has given me the scope to make a difference across a whole faculty and collaborate with ed designers across the university. It’s been fantastic…most of the time.Quals: Diploma of Teaching (Primary), B.Ed, RN, CCRN (ICU), M.Ed (Sci, Health & Env Edn), D.Ed (Intercultural Communication).
