Mary Donovan

I have been teaching high school math for ten years, the last seven of which have been at my current institution. I received my BS in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh and continued on for my MEd from there as well. I graduated in 2008 with my MEd. I have always been more focused on the “doing” in math and wanting my students to get the most out of their time in class. Thus, I heard about this idea of a flipped classroom and it has completely transformed the way I teach. I have been flipping for three years now and it continues to evolve and improve. My students are engaged and learning at a deeper level than ever before! I was the pioneer of the flipped model in my school and while a few more have started, with this training, I hope to show more teachers how invaluable this model can be for their classroom!
