Jane Blystone, Ph.D. has been an advocate for technology in the classroom since 1988 when her high school students became design program beta testers for a yearbook company. She worked in private schools for five years, public education for 29 years and higher education for 9 years, where she ran a graduate program in teacher education. Currently, she is an education professor at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa. and is president of the school board in North East, Pa. She has received awards from Columbia Scholastic Press Association, Journalism Education Association, National Scholastic Press Association and the National Council of Teachers of English. The Pennsylvania School Press Association Student Journalist of the Year Scholarship is named in her honor. She loves to teach her students how to flip their classrooms and also flips her classes.
