Debbie Whiteley

I have taught in New Zealand for over thirty years in a variety of subject areas: English, Drama, Health & Parenting, Hospitality, Lifeskills, Driver Licence. The last twenty years I have been the Head Teacher of Titiro Whakamua-Hutt Valley Teen Parent School.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Guidance Studies) from Massey University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching from Christchurch College of Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Practice- digital and collaborative learning from Mindlab by Unitec. I gained a BA at Victoria University of Wellington. I also have a Certificate in TESOL from Massey University, A Certificate in teaching Adults from CIT and a Certificate in Counselling from ICI University. I also have Flipped Learning Certification in level 1 and 2.

As you can see I love learning. I am also very passionate about second chance learning for teen parents and their families to give them the best chances for their future..
