In 2003, I received a degree in elementary education with an emphasis in reading from Adams State College in Colorado. Prior to this I taught CIS at a local prison. After obtaining my degree, I taught 2nd grade in a very small consolidated school for three years. Following this, I began my masters in special education while teaching special education at Washington Primary School in Rocky Ford. After two years there, I took a position as a 7th grade ELA teacher in our districts junior high/high school for one year. I presently teach in the same school as an 8th grade ELA teacher. I have been teaching this for three years now.
