I am a 28-year veteran educator and still love it more and more each day. I obtained a M.Ed from Concordia University in 2015. I believe in progressive, project-based, student-centered education in an environment of love, joy, and respect. I also believe in the incredible potential of every student for academic growth, and I make it my mission to help each one to achieve excellence. I desire to see my students embrace a growth mindset and to recognize the power of perseverance. I currently serve as an instructional technology specialist in Hawaii. Before coming to Hawaii, I was the secondary co-principal and taught middle school math at Lighthouse Christian School in Twin Falls, Idaho. In this role, I provide instructional leadership, oversaw curriculum design and school improvement planning, and provided weekly professional development for the faculty. I have previously served as the dean of students and the assistant principal for 6th-12h grades.
