Flipped Learning Global Inititiative

The Vision

Jonimage9As Jon has traveled the world speaking and training educators in the Flipped Classroom model, he has seen first-hand the global promise, passion and potential for flipped learning. He has also seen the pitfalls and myriad ways that flipped learning can be compromised by bad practice, inappropriate technology, and poor execution.

Jon has also identified a global race among education entrepreneurs and well-established education interests to participate in the flipped learning revolution.

As one of the founders of Flipped Learning, Jon is deeply committed to seeing the model successfully executed and embraced globally. In pursuit of this vision, Jon has restructured his practice into two divisions aimed at supporting the expansion of flipped learning around the world.

Flipped Learning Simplified

The mission of the Flipped learning Simplified division is to spread the pedagogy of flipped learning around the world. Evangelist in Chief, Jon Bergmann leads this effort through keynotes, workshops, books, blogging, social media, new media, personal appearances and the aggregation and sharing of best practices.

The success of any flipped program begins with understanding the pedagogy. The mission of Flipped Learning Simplified is to provide the pedagogical foundations for success.

Flipped Learning Global Initiative

The mission of the Flipped Learning Global Initiative is to coordinate, orchestrate and scale the key elements required to successfully expand flipped learning. This division is responsible for identifying and developing strategic partnerships, initiatives, projects, best in class vendors, products, and services to introduce and support flipped learning around the globe. The Flipped Learning Global Initiative is led by Errol St.Clair Smith, Director of Global Development.

Approach

The initiative divides the world into regions and identifies champions to introduce and support flipped learning in each region. Regional candidates present their programs, plans, projects and tech tools designed to help introduce or support Flipped Learning. Pending approval, mission partners  are endorsed by Jon Bergmann  and recognized  as part of the Global Flipped Learning Initiative. Accepted companies, vendors, and organizations  pay an annual fee for certification, membership, endorsement, consulting and on-going access to best practices.
