Seyed Ehsan Layegh Khavidaki

Dr. S. Ehsan Layegh K. received a scholarship from Koç University in 2010 to conduct his Ph.D. in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Manufacturing and Research Center (MARC) Laboratory. He also spent his postdoctoral fellow in the same lab where he focused on different research topics such as metal cutting, dynamic simulation of machining processes, additive manufacturing, automation and mechatronics. He worked as an instructor at the Koç University in 2016 giving manufacturing processes lecturers. He worked in the industry between 2006 and 2008 leading different projects on die and mold manufacturing, prototyping and machining. At the same time, he was a part-time instructor at different universities in Iran. Dr. Layegh joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MEF University as an assistant professor in 2017. His current research interests include Geometric, static and dynamic simulation of machining processes, FEM analysis, CAD/CAM, additive manufacturing and tool design.

Research Interests: Metal Cutting, Tool design, Additive Manufacturing, CAD/CAM/CAE, Virtual Simulation of Machining Processes.
