Semen Son-Turan is Associate Professor of Finance with an interest in behavioral finance, higher education finance, financial innovation and sustainability. She received her BA from Bogazici University, her MBA from The Pennsylvania State University and her PhD from Yasar University while continuing her 20 year-long professional career at companies like Toronto-Dominion Bank, Ford Otosan, Rehau Group, İş Asset Management, Ashmore Asset Management and finally founding her own consulting company. She is a faculty member at MEF University’s Business Administration Department since 2014. Her research aims at understanding how financial instruments can be designed to create a social impact besides providing acceptable financial returns.
