I have been teaching here at Whangarei Intermediate School for my entire career of 17years, in both mainstream classrooms and currently of 12 years in a Bilingual setting. My position I hold within the school is a Scale A Teacher who teaches Maths, English, Science, Social Science, Health and PE and Te Reo. The language of instruction in this class is Te Reo.

Whangarei Intermediate School is an urban school which has 6 contributing schools that feed into us annually. We are also a decile 4 school.

I am an e-learning classroom teacher, ie: 1:1 devices, using chromebooks and have been so for the last 3 years. I have started implementing the Flipped Learning model over the last 10 weeks and will continue on with this journey after building more knowledge from these Units. My passion is e-learning, Kapa Haka and Music.

I have a Degree in Education and a Google Cert Level 1.

I have been invited to share my journey and experience so far at a GEG spark workshop which will be held in a few days time and also at Staff PD sessions after attending my first FlipCon NZ conference.
