Lucas Conner

I obtained my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, and I am currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. My doctoral action research is focusing on the impact of flipped learning on student motivation and cognitive load. I am a high school science teacher, teaching Physics, Astronomy, and Earth Science at Alleghany High School in Covington, VA. I have been flipping my classes for almost four years now, utilizing the In-Class Flip, Gamified Flipped Learning, Flipped Mastery, and Flipped Learning to Support Project-Based Learning. I have provided PD sessions in my school on flipped learning, and I provide individual assistance to teachers for flipped learning and educational technology. In the summer of 2019, I have the opportunity to share my experiences with Gamified Flipped Learning and Flipped Learning to Support Project-Based Learning at conferences in Boston, MA and Orlando, FL.
