I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Diploma in Education and Language Certificate (Secondary) from Newcastle University, NSW, Australia. I have been teaching Japanese since 1991. I am currently the Teacher in Charge of Languages at St Peter’s Catholic College, Tuggerah, NSW, Australia. I have completed the Flipped Certificates I, II and III, and have enjoyed challenging myself as a 21st century facilitator of learning. I have taken the opportunity to share my knowledge of technology use at school based professional development seminars. My classroom is a creative learning space in which students are encouraged and supported to be the best Japanese learners they can be. My professional interests include using technology to further teaching and learning opportunities, flipping, mastering and differentiating. I have a passion for not only the Japanese language but everything to do with Japan.
