I obtained a BA in Sociology from the University of Texas in Arlington. I stayed at home with our four children until the youngest was in Middle School. Then I earned a MAT in Secondary Social Studies from Western Governor’s University. I taught High School World History for 7 years in a small, private school. For the past five years I have taught High School Social Studies (mostly Modern World History and AP Human Geography) at a public charter school. I became aware of flipped learning in 2014 and completed the Flipped Learning Level I Certification. As my husband and I move overseas, I am hoping to stay involved in education through supporting those teachers who are still in the classroom working through the logistics of making flipped learning work in their situation.
