Andrew John Nightingale

I have been an ESL teacher for the past 25 years since graduating with a BA Joint Honours Degree in Modern Languages in 1993. I have taught both children (middle and high school age) and young adults in English Preparatory school at university. I also have experience in teaching corporate groups and in one-to-one tuition.

I hold A TESOL certificate and have been teaching in schools and universities in Istanbul for the past 24 years. I am currently working in MEF university and therefore I am privileged to have a first-hand insight into the practical implementation of a flipped learning in real ‘flipped’ classrooms.

My professional interests include developing my knowledge and application of blended learning, flipped learning and TBL.

I believe strongly in the effect of a positive relationship on productive and active learning and see how flipped learning can enhance this and change for the better the outcomes of our teaching-learning programmes.
