I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the University of Canterbury which I gained at the end of 2001. I have a Diploma in Teaching and Learning from Christchurch teachers College in 2003. I have been teaching High School Visual Art and Senior Photography since the beginning of 2004. My first teaching job was at Nayland College in Nelson. I have been teaching at Riccarton High School since the start of 2006. I have been the Head of Department for 5 years and the Head of the Arts Faculty for two. During this time I have been on several school committees such as the eLearning and Teaching and Learning committee. My professional interests include e-learning and Visual Arts education. As a Photography teacher in a NZ state secondary school I adopt digital technologies and e-learning to engage and motivate my students.
